Another favorite is Bueno Malo offering indoor and outdoor dining. On your way in or out of town, make a stop at Town Market, where you can pick up a tasty lunch or freshly made pastry.
 
Andover has excellent independent retail shops, including America’s oldest independent bookstore, Andover Bookstore. This longtime community staple opened in 1809 and is a magical place to find your next read. Nearby, Bobbles & Lace offers a chic selection of women’s fashion and jewelry, with staff happy to help you pick the perfect ensemble. Things to Do

Andover is home to incredible parks and conservation lands perfect for hiking, walking, and biking. Nature lovers should check out Harold Parker State Forest. Its network of well-maintained trails is great for the whole family, and there are spots for fishing, kayaking, and swimming. You’ll find more great hiking around Pomps Pond, and nearby Andover Recreation Park offers numerous recreational facilities, including newly renovated tennis and pickleball courts. 

Andover hosts fantastic local events. Check out the weekly Farmers Market on Central Street every Saturday from June through October. Andover Days features fireworks, and great local vendors every fall. Don’t miss Clown Town in the spring; a local carnival fundraiser with rides and carnival games, face painting, arts and crafts, toddler/preschool games, snow cones, candy, coffee, pizza and more. Community events are always well-attended and packed with kid-friendly activities.
